BombMap (Bombyx mori genome Map information system) is a database integrating the linkage map, physical map and sequencing information of the silkworm (Bombyx mori) genome. The integrated maps are presented for respective chromosomes. Alternatively search markers directly lead to available mapping information on specific DNA clones. This database is written in JAVA language and works on GIOT (Genome Information displayed Orderly Tool) which uses a web browser as a user interface so that the tool can display the genome information. GIOT is the software developed by STAFF(Society for Techno-innovation of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries) and MSS(Mitsubishi Space Software).

BombMap needs Netscape Navigator(TM)4.0 or Netscape Communicator(TM)4.0 and later.
